About SKLIN

SKLIN is a Mexican skincare brand built on an idea that sounds obvious but that almost no one actually acts on: skin isn’t one fixed thing. Most of us learned to label ours as dry, oily, or combination, and to build a routine around that label and keep it for years. But skin shifts  some weeks it’s more sensitive, more dehydrated, or simply asking for something else  and that’s where SKLIN begins: products designed to adapt your care to what your skin needs in the moment, rather than following a routine that no longer fits.

Behind it are two founders who arrived at the same place from different directions. One, Ludwika Paleta, came from her own skin  sensitive and reactive and from wanting to really understand what she was putting on it: the ingredients, the formulas, what actually did it good. The other, Norma Cantú, came from years working in wellness and personal care through spas, watching up close what works and what promises more than it delivers. It took them more than two years to develop the products, because the decision from the start was simple: if they were going to do it, they had to do it properly. A Mexican brand held to the same standard as any from abroad.

That standard shows up in the things you don’t see at first glance. SKLIN pairs science-backed actives with carefully chosen botanicals  many from controlled agriculture, several organic  and where most brands use water as a base, they work with hydrosols: the water left from distilling plants and flowers, which keeps the plant’s properties and gives the formula richness from the start. Nothing is in there because it’s trending; every ingredient has a job and a reason to be there. And everything is made in small batches, which is the unglamorous part of making sure each product turns out as good as the last.

The first time someone tries them, what they tend to mention are the textures and the scents. They absorb quickly, feel light, and leave that hydrated, soft feeling almost right away. But what people end up appreciating isn’t only that — it’s that putting on SKLIN becomes a moment in the day, the short stretch you give to yourself, rather than one more step on a list. Over time, many people say their skin looks more balanced and healthier; those with sensitive skin talk about less irritation and redness, and those with dry skin, about skin that feels steadier.

A while ago a customer wrote to tell them something: she’d gone to her dermatologist, and the first thing he asked when he saw her was what she was using, because her skin looked especially hydrated and well. She’d been on SKLIN for just over a month. What moved them wasn’t the compliment itself, but that someone else noticed the change without her having to say a word. And that’s exactly the kind of person the brand connects with: women who read labels, who research what they use, who understand that skin responds to how they sleep, how they eat, and how they live  and who’ve stopped chasing the overnight miracle or the trend of the moment. People who already get that caring for skin is about giving it time, not stacking up products.

SKLIN started with five products and keeps growing slowly, on purpose  it recently added a cleansing balm and a hydrating mist, with more on the way  holding on to the same idea it began with: that skin has never been just skin. That caring for it isn’t about doing more, but about understanding what it needs and giving it the right thing.
